Timberborn
A beaver city builder where drought cycles, dams, and water control shape every settlement.

The Game Foundry take
Timberborn is the rare city-builder where the terrain itself is your main puzzle. You're not zoning districts, you're damming rivers, terracing land, and routing drought-cycle water through aqueducts your beavers built three generations ago. The two beaver factions play differently enough to matter, the vertical building is genuinely novel, and the chill aesthetic hides a surprisingly demanding water-management sim underneath. It's still in early access, which shows in the late-game thinness, but the foundation is more interesting than most finished games in the genre.
