Against the Storm
A roguelite city builder where short settlements, biome variety, and meta progression keep every run fresh.

The Game Foundry take
Against the Storm fixed the city-builder genre's biggest unspoken problem: that runs take 40 hours and most of them are boring. Each settlement here lasts 60-90 minutes, you get genuinely different biomes and resource pools, and a meta-progression layer rewards you for not getting attached. The trade-off is that it's a roguelite first and a city-builder second, and if what you want is the cozy long-haul Banished feeling, this will frustrate you. If you want city-building decisions that matter because the timer is real, it's the best in class.
