Anno 1800
An industrial-era city builder built around production chains, logistics, trade routes, and expansion across regions.

The Game Foundry take
Anno 1800 is the logistics-brain city builder — the actual game is the trade routes, not the skyline. You're constantly balancing five interlocked regions, each producing something the others need, while an in-game stock-ticker-style production chain UI tells you exactly where you're bottlenecked. It's gorgeous and generous with content (a decade of DLC now folded into the base experience), but it never asks you to improvise the way Frostpunk or RimWorld do — it wants you to plan. If Factorio's belts stress you out but you liked the spreadsheet feeling, this is the historical-builder version of that itch.
